With toasted pecans, nutmeg and brown sugar, think outside the marinara sauce with this ravioli recipe idea. The Ravioli House is a family restaurant through and through. It is not only owned and operated by the DeSanctis's but it is a place where families visit year after year. At The Ravioli House, we love hearing customers share stories about their childhoods, and eating dinner at their Nonna's house. Many people who visit us tell us they feel as if they are taking a step back in time, to their own childhood. Teresa loved the idea of owning a restaurant, and in 1970 the Ravioli House opened its doors for the first time.

A place where memories are made, and tradition is everything. This former pop-up, which ran for several years as a lunch residency at Downtown’s Mignon, landed a brick-and-mortar location with generous outdoor seating in West Adams in 2021. Pasta preparations include spaghetti topped with a generous dollop of burrata and golden slabs of Santa Barbara sea urchin, as well as linguini bathed in sweet corn carbonara.

Pasta is a basic food appreciated by both the young and the old. Pasta has no season – there is always something to go with it. By using either cream sauces, garlic and oil, or simply a version of your own favorite sauce — you can eat pasta as it is eaten in Italy, or create an unforgettable specific special of your own. These principles are the foundation upon which all our pastas are built. In the past 50 years not much has changed at Bennett and New Jersey Avenues in Wildwood.

Chef Matt Molina’s Hippo in Highland Park continues to draw crowds hungry for a California take on handmade pasta, large-format proteins, and plenty of cocktails. The patio is especially fetching this time of year, and so is the corn-stuffed agnolotti — get it if it’s on the menu. Fry and freeze a bunch ahead of time for any type of party. It’s all about Roman classics at La Parolaccia in Long Beach.

Up to 1,500 pounds of meatballs are rolled at a time – all by hand. While a few machines have made it into the mix over the years, the results have not changed. The quality of the homemade sauce, the hand-cut fresh chicken, and the delicious ravioli are the same as they were over 50 years ago.
